Roofing Roll

Roofing Roll

Description

Roofing Roll is a multi-purpose, flexible, non-combustible, glass mineral wool roll, and is specifically designed for installation by friction fitting.

Application

Roofing Roll is typically used for the thermal and acoustic insulation of a wide variety of constructions such as pitched roof at ceiling level (loft insulation), internal partitions, internal floors, and timber floors.

Density (kg/m3) Thickness (mm) Length (m) Width (mm) Area per pack (m²) Rolls per pack
10 50 30000 1200 36 1
12 50 20000 1200 24 1
16 50 15000 1200 18 1
32 50 7900 1200 9 1

Standards

Roofing Roll is manufactured in accordance with BS EN 13162, ISO 50001 Energy Management Systems, OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems, and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, as certified by Bureau Veritas.

Performance

Thermal

Roofing Roll has a thermal conductivity of 0.040W/mK.

Fire

Roofing Roll is classified as Euroclass A1 to BS EN 13501-1.

Acoustic

Roofing Roll has exceptional acoustic absorption properties and is manufactured with a minimum density of 10kg/m3 for compliance with relevant sound insulation regulations.

Benefits

  • Better thermal performance than our standard loft rolls
  • Friction fits between studs and joists
  • Provides excellent thermal and acoustic performance

Durability

Roofing Roll is odourless, rot proof, non-hygroscopic, does not sustain vermin and will not encourage the growth of fungi, mould or bacteria.

Vapour resistivity

Roofing Roll offers negligible resistance to the passage of water vapour and has a water vapour resistivity of 5.00MNs/g.m.

Environmental

Roofing Roll represents no known threat to the environment and has zero Ozone Depletion Potential and zero Global Warming Potential.

Handling and storage

Roofing Roll is easy to handle and install, being lightweight and easily cut to size, where necessary. Roofing Roll is supplied in polythene packs which are designed for short term protection only. For longer term protection on site, the product should either be stored indoors, or under cover and off the ground. Roofing Roll should not be left permanently exposed to the elements.
